Niall is well known in the club industry for being a results-orientated executive, combining tournament planning and organisational expertise with strong commercial skills and excellent leadership abilities. Experienced in heading multidisciplinary, multi-cultural teams, and able to liaise confidently with people at all levels.
His extensive club expertise has been gained by working for elite clubs and organisations in the UK and Middle East, notably his roles as President/CEO at Loch Lomond, Director of Operations at St Andrews Links Trust, General Manager at Dubai Golf & Racing Club, Director of Golf at Celtic Manor.
Niall’s experience working in 5 star facilities have given a unique opportunity to understand all the necessary skills needed to run every type of club be it large or small. Niall has experienced turn around situations leading teams to drive commercial ideas to improve bottom line. In addition he has been responsible for a number of capital projects, which have included redesigns of clubhouses, academies, and on course projects, which have resulted in significant return on investments for the different companies and organisations he has worked for.
Customer service is one of Niall’s greatest passions and he has delivered a number of training programmes for leadership teams as well as staff across the world. Working with both industry
leaders and taking the very best from industries outside of the Club Industry notably Disney Niall has introduce bespoke customer care programmes which really engage with customers vital for any business going forward for the future. These programmes helped to win The Scottish Thistle Award for service for a large company whilst at St Andrews.
Having been involved in some of the biggest high profile sporting events such as the Open Championship, The Barclays Scottish Open and the Dubai World Cup along with high profile concerts for such stars as Lionel Richie and Robbie Williams, Niall has expertise in dealing with TV companies and media. During these events he also worked closely with world-class brands sponsoring events such as Barclays, Rolex, Audi, BMW and UPS.
Niall has the ability to work with diverse groups of people and where possible tries to gain their respect both on a professional and personal level. He is focused on driving results and exceeding expectations whilst giving autonomy to management teams so as to help them deliver.
