Just before I join most people on a few day’s holiday, I would like to wish Tom Delozier (our key note speaker from last year’s Club Leadership Summit) all the very best this week hosting the USPGA Championship. Those of you who were lucky enough to be present for Tom’s presentation will know the work and the money that has gone into the preparations for this major championship. Rory has won at Quail Hollow before and is the favourite but the competition is very strong. It is great that we will be able to see it live on the BBC, which surely must help grass roots golf grow.

Following our recent lunch at Berry Bros & Rudd that we hosted for NorthStar, we have been working with one of the oldest wine merchants in the country to highlight the possibilities they have within the club industry. I am meeting Robert Manners who is the head of wholesale sales for BBR at one of our clients this week and will be meeting their new marketing director later in the month. We are hosting a dinner for a very select number of our high net worth Clients at the Directors table on 28th September. If you are in London check out their new retail shop I am sure you will find something you like!

Speaking of drinks, Tattam’s bar is hosting a wonderful cocktail evening at Albury Estates (owned by a member of The Wisley ) along with Silent Pool Gin on 9th September. The setting is perfect and Tom’s mixology skills will be highlighted by bringing the two products together in 3 unique cocktails. For tickets please click on the link

Finally, as always football and the start of the Premier League, this weekend will see Spurs go to Newcastle which will be a tough opener especially as we haven’t as yet added to our squad. I am sure the boys will step up and we will once again be there or thereabouts for the title.

Until next time COYS
